SFD Academy- Week Three

Sean had his first official inspection and they posted this picture on the department's Facebook page.  They don't post too often, but it is fun for me to catch a glimpse of the things I hear about each day.

Back on the home front, Oliver's class had their first real field trip to the zoo.
Walking up to discover this bus waiting for them was pretty exciting!

We still have a few weeks of Kindergarten left, but this trip really got me feeling sad that it's almost over.  10 months ago we didn't know any of these kids and now I cannot look at this picture without smiling over how much I have grown to love each one of them.
Such a fun group!!
We are so fortunate to have had this year with Mrs. Jacobson.
She is a gifted teacher and her love of the children comes through in all she does :)

Surprise visit from some of our favorite doggy friends
(and their owners, of course :))

I don't know how we didn't see it before, but we decided on this visit that Elliott and Luna are the Boy/Dog version of each other :) They are both fiercely loyal, super duper friendly, they greet people with a jumping hug and seem to have no awareness of their own great size or strength.  And they have the same color hair :)

Not the greatest pic ever, but proof that me and Rach were there too :)

Everyone is happy to wake up on Saturday morning to find that Daddy is still at home!!

Grandma and Grandpa have been coming to visit us more often and now the kids know the routine:
Grandma and Summer love to sneak away and read together
(sometimes Grandpa sneaks away with them :))

There are usually a few special treats...

...especially when there is an upcoming birthday!

And you can pretty much count on a trip to the park,
(complete with a shoulder ride and generously shared accessories!)

Lots of personal attention,

And a football game, of course!
Here are the "skins" coming up with their next big play :)

Thanks to Memorial Day, the best part of this week was getting an extra day at home together.  We enjoyed a (relatively) low key family day except for the one action packed hour that we spent at the church picnic. It was perfect :)

3 weeks down and only 17 more to go!!

Week 4
