Tuesday morning playtime with Owen, our adorable neighbor.
(these two go way back!!)
Icing cookies for his birthday celebration at school.
He asked for Football Cookies, so that's what we made :)
And when the last cookie had been iced....
How could I say no? :)
Somehow, I won the swimming lessons lottery and managed to get all three of my kids in lessons at the same time of day, every day, for two weeks.
And the best part? They were late enough in the evening that Sean could stop by on his way home from work and we would get to just sit there and chat and enjoy our kids from afar, while someone else was doing all the work :) We tried to take a selfie one night, but I was way too zoomed in and I was too embarrassed to be the Parents Taking Selfies During Swimming Lessons to try again :)
And then, things started to get crazy...
My sweet nephew turned 5!
My baby boy turned 6!!
(more on this in a later post :))
And my beautiful sister turned 18!!
(A Wheel Grome Up, according to Elliott)
So we let Daddy have a quiet day to himself
and I took the kids down to my parent's house for a (very un-quiet) family celebration.
(thanks for taking the picture Bree!)
There was a scooter adventure with Grandpa.
Playtime down at the creek.
(how many kids do you see in this picture?)
And happy memories made in every corner of the house, inside...
...and out :)
There was singing...
and cake...
...a little batting practice in the garden for these birthday boys...
and a million more reasons to be thankful for each other!
And it still wasn't enough to wear down my kids.
(I took this picture after I pulled back into our driveway at home at 10 PM!!)
What a fun ending to a big week...
Four weeks down, only 16 weeks to go!!
