As you might be able to guess from this picture, Week 6 brought us our first 100+degree days of the summer as well as the NBA Playoffs
(don't worry, Sean does have pants on! :))
It also brought us Elliott's last day of Puppy School.
Although it is sad to say goodbye to school, I know for a fact that Elliott is looking forward to getting his morning adventures with this girl back :) Two peas in a pod, these ones!
I snapped this picture while we waited at a red light and noticed, for the first time, that dark spot on his head rest to his right.
"Oh. That's where I wipe my nose!!" he confidently informed me :)
Great.
We all love this school
It will be your turn before you know it Summer Girl!!
But for now it is time to say goodbye to Ms. Molly
Ms. Tia
and the one and only Ms. Leanne
Summer got to play while the rest of us said our tearful goodbyes, but when I saw her standing here, I had a flashback to Oliver's very first day of preschool in this same room 3 years earlier- it was so hard to say goodbye to him that day and leave him somewhere else for the first time.
This is the picture I snapped after I walked out but turned around for one last glimpse...I don't need the picture to remember this moment but it is fun to compare and it makes me realize how much my life has changed in such a short time :)
Thankfully we didn't have time to stay sad because Auntie Kalani and Grandma Gloria were visiting to help us celebrate Daddy's Birthday!!

We had a little friendly competition in the backyard followed by...
...a Family Bike Ride to Dos Coyotes
And CHEESECAKE :)
We could not love you any more than we already do!
What a year!!
What a day!!
What a guy!!
I am so glad I get to share this life with you, Sean. Here is to being 35!!
And the fun didn't stop there!
Thursday morning brought the one and only Grandpa Jack up for a visit :)
Thursday morning brought the one and only Grandpa Jack up for a visit :)
It was fun to have him tag along to our normal morning activities,
but this wasn't just any normal morning...
It was Oliver's LAST DAY of Kindergarten!!
How is it even possible?
I felt so many emotions as he paraded around his playground with his teacher and classmates,
but mostly just so grateful!!
Grateful for a school that he loves to go to every day and that we feel good about sending him to.
Grateful for New Friends
(I made some pretty great friends, too!)
And grateful for a wonderful, kind and compassionate teacher who led the class with grace, love and high standards.
Mrs. Jacobson is doing exactly what she was made to do!
Thanks for making the day even more special, Grandpa!!
And just when we thought the day couldn't be any more fun,
Ava stopped by for some hugs.
She just graduated from 6th grade and will be heading off to Jr. High next year :(
Luckily, our house is still on her route so hopefully we still have many more after school dates to look forward to :)
School is out=Rec Pool is in!!
And because we love to party, the next morning we loaded up and headed down to the Bay Area to celebrate one more graduatation...
for Emma!!
(seriously...where did the time go?!)
It was well over one hundred degrees but we wouldn't miss this for anything :)
There she is!
We love you Emma!!
And many thanks to Uncle John who volunteered to stay behind with all the kids so that Alice and I could be there to watch Emma walk across the stage. What a guy- Thank you, John!
Reminiscing about when Alice and baby Emma used to "fight" over whose John he was :)
Goodbye Drake, Hello University of the Redlands!!
Family Dinner at Benny's!
(this picture is deceiving...she was running around wild and crazy and only stopped to make herself look calm and cute so that she wouldn't get in trouble for going down stairs and escaping to the busy street again. Stinker!)
We slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's and
gave Daddy a quiet night at home.
They may fight all day, but they find each other again at night :)
The next morning we made a quick stop for coffee and Yoda before heading back home to see Daddy.
I figured it was about time they knew about Indiana Jones :)
Our days are action packed with fun and adventure but no matter how great they are, our favorite part of any day is when Daddy comes home!!
You are doing such a great job!
The kids probably don't get it, but I know you are working hard for all of us and I am so proud of you!!
6 weeks down, 14 more to go!!

Mary, your update posts fill me with such joy! Seriously, you have a beautiful family and your appreciation for the small (but meaningful) everyday moments makes me take time to appreciate those moments in my own life. I love so many of these photos and can't list all of my favorites, but I especially love the comparison of Oliver and Summer at preschool, and the photos of the kids greeting Sean.
