Life
Well, if I was going to sum it all up in one picture, this might be it ;)
But alas, our life these days is not all naked gymnastics!
(although a good argument could be made for it)
No, no, no...we take life far more seriously than that!
Here is Sean giving the little children in our life a lesson on power tools.

Want us to babysit your kids? :)
Sean is good at making life fun.
And speaking of fun....
We LOVE it when our grandparents come to visit!!
Want your kids to drink more water? Get them a camelbak :)
The boys have grown to be true best friends. They often come up with ideas and then laugh and run off together down the hallway or out the door. They have entire conversations that do not involve me at all, which I find both wonderful and shocking all at once.
They will offer (and receive!) spontaneous acts of affection and stick up for one another. There are even nights when I find that one of them has hopped into bed to snuggle with the other and let me tell you, there is just nothing sweeter.
I see a lot more of this:
And more importantly, a lot more of this:
a post-wrestling smile!
(they typically end in tears)
And if you needed any more evidence...
Back in February, we had a Very Special Guest come for a sleepover!!
Gracie Girl is a true celebrity in our house and the boys were just in heaven with her here.
I was worried that she might feel a little smothered by Oliver but if she did, she did not let on.
And not surprisingly, she was a huge help with the baby. It was so nice just to have a (trustworthy) extra set of hands to help me get through the daily grind.
Isn't she beautiful?
Big cousin...
...little cousin.
And then we got to go home to celebrate my mom's birthday.
My sister and her two youngest boys....
Just keepin' it real!!
We even squeezed in a trip to the beach...
To say it was windy would be an understatement... but we still had a fabulous time!!
Elliott being Elliott while Oliver is at school.
Shocked Baby!
And speaking of babies...
I love all babies, but there is something a little extra special when it is the baby of a close friend....they just have a special place in my heart. I love them from the moment I learn of their existence. They don't have to do anything to get me to love them. I don't have to decide if I like them or not, I just do. And then when I meet them and hold them for the first time, I can't help but think to myself, Wow....I am going to know you for the rest of my life. It is pretty special and I am lucky to have so many little people in my life to love.
Meet Sadie Sorbello, my newest little friend :)
Why sit on the couch when there is a perfectly comfortable laundry basket available?
Exploring the Wonderful World of Rolly-Pollys
The Neglector Excersaucer is back in my life once again. She loves it, so I love it.
Our next door neighbors are better than your next door neighbors :)
(Just tonight, they babysat all 3 of my kids so that Sean and I could go out on a much needed date)

And you know what they say...
If it is warm enough to get out the Slip 'n Slide after 7pm....
then Summer cannot be...
too far behind!!
Mary you are one of the best caption writers I know...you must get that from Mom. Love this!!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Grace and Summer reminded me so much of watching Emma and Grace. Time flies too fast
ReplyDeleteSeriously!!! Emma is almost as old as I was when she was born! I miss you Stephany!
