4 Months Old!!

Well, well, well....

By this age, Oliver had well over 15 blog posts dedicated to every new face and sound that he made and here we are at 4 months with an unorganized sampling of pictures from the last few weeks. My dear son, if you are offended in any way by my unequal documentation of your early life, I hope that you find some comfort in knowing that it was probably because instead of blogging, I was holding you.
Anyways, I AM IN LOVE with my baby boy! I used to think that the new baby phase was the best, but no- I am revoking my opinion and am now in favor of the 4 month old baby. He talks and laughs and sings and loves to jump and grab my face (or anything close enough) with his drooly hand and pull it to his mouth. In general, Elliott is much easier-going than Oliver ever was and he just seems to be a little more flexible. He smiles at anyone who will make eye contact with him (unless you have a camera in your hand) and squeal with delight when you do. He loves to be held or have my attention- way more than I remember Oliver wanting to be- and he isn't happy on the floor for more than a few minutes. Even at night, Elliott wants to sleep with me which Oliver never wanted. Of course, it is wonderful that he wants me so much but it has really affected my ability to get things done during the day or even sleep. I know how fast things will change so I am just trying to embrace this sweet part of my life and on most days, I cannot believe how lucky I am.
So, without further a-do...here is our little man, 4 months old:

With his big eyes, he always looks like he is in a state of surprise. Of course, it just adds to his cute factor :)

I love this little guy's smile! It is curly and just has so much spunk to it! He has dimples on both sides and a cleft in his chin and with his squishy cheeks and drooly lips he is just a juicy little ball of love. Watch out though, his kisses are WET!

About a week before he was 4 months old, Elliott was on the move! He gets up on all fours and lunges forward- sometimes covering an impressive amount of ground with one surge! He now gets all around our living room and nothing is off limits which has added another level of awareness to my job as safety officer. I have a feeling Oliver might have a running buddy sooner than we thought. Uh-oh!!

Gotta love the booty in the air. So darn cute!
