Valentine's Weekend

We celebrate Valentine's Day by trying to be extra aware of all the ways that God shows His love to us through our love for each other and all the ways that He provides for us. And since Valentine's fell on President's Day weekend this year, we gladly stretched our celebrating out for the whole three days!!

We love the February sunshine, but we love this guy's imagination and gusto even more!
Here he is on his spaceship just before launching to infinity and beyond.
Demonstrating how he gets around in zero gravity (and almost zero clothes!)

Then we drove to Sacramento and found this happy and handsome firefighter running through the intersection doing his part to help raise money for a noble cause.

I love the men in my life

And I love being a family with these people.

The more I learn about it,
the more I absolutely love the department that Sean works for.

And I really, really love that Oliver is choosing to be brave and face his fears of fire and heights.

He was so proud of himself and I think that he will remember this day forever- I know I will never forget!

View from the Top

Summer probably won't forget this day either- my poor girl is afraid of fire trucks!!
(and of course, we all LOVE LOVE LOVE Grandma Gloria!)

I love this face.
(and Elliott loves strawberry smoothies!)

Dressed in their Valentine's Red and ready for donuts!

Three of my Loves

And as much as I would enjoy a date out with Sean,
a Good Day At Home Together is really one of our favorite things.
Making Dinner

Reading Books

And giving Silly Kisses

The next day Elliott was feeling sick and wanted spend his quiet time laying in the sunny trampoline.
And in a rare moment of tenderness, Oliver offered "to snuggle him to help him feel better".
I absolutely love this.

And as frustrating as it can be to have your dryer breakdown for the third time (mid-sick-kid, of course) it makes you that much more grateful to (for the first time ever) have the means to just go out and get a new one.

And let me just say that I love it when Grandma Ellen comes to visit.
She jumps right in with whatever is going on and brings a very welcome burst of positive energy and kindness wherever she goes :)

And I don't even know where to start with this one...
All I can say is that I LOVE Summer and Summer LOVES her babies :)

And we had the rare privilege of our Holleman cousins stop in town on their way up to the snow-
such a treat for us all!!
Of course.

Of course.

Of course.
And of course.

Summer and Kaia:  Two Peas in a Pod, Two Months apart

Oliver and Jacoby: One Year and Two Front Teeth apart

Elliott and Ryder never hold still long enough for a picture,
but I did manage to catch one of all six cousins.
And that is A LOT of love in one photograph :)
