Valentines!

This was our first year making valentines...

(Check out the artwork in the background. The caption on the pink and purple one says "It's my mom, cause I love her". I get at least 2 of those a week and it never gets old!)

You gotta admit, googly eyes are pretty silly to work with!

The final product, all ready for his little friends at school.

I would say that Oliver did these all by himself, but that would not be entirely true.  Besides self-appointing myself as Supervisor of the Sharpie Marker, I was also given the honorable job of squeezing the glue out of the container. I was careful to let him tell me exactly where to place my drop of glue...except for one time when I was off by mere millimeters (seriously) and this is what he said to me, in a reassuring, yet condescending sort of way: 

"Mom, I know you are a grown up and the things you do are hard, but that was a little bit of an accident and that makes me a little bit sad. But that is ok, ok?"
